BACK TO THE FUTURE:
We finally met Travis and Dolly D. Who had Drummer’s hull built by the Vinette boatyard in Escanaba Michigan in 1973. They built EVERYTHING else themselves including the blocks, sails and interior. They gave us photos they took of Drummer in her hayday that have helped us carry on.
This is a picture is of the interior as they were building it- before they put the cabin roofs on. It is taken of the forward cabin, from the bow looking aft.
Wherever possible we attempted to save and use the interior as they built it. Travis is an accomplished carpenter with an eye for simplicity and practicality.

MEETING TOM E. COLVIN: 
As it turns out, Mr Colvin lives in the area and we were able to stop in and meet him, see his shop, and ask him 5 millon questions. He is a really interesting guy, was patient with our questions and very helpful.
