In Rio Dulce we met Bruno and Elise on their more traditional junk Lakatao, a gorgeous boat they built themselves. They took us sailing in the Rio and nerded out on battens, parrels, snotters, euphroes, sheetlets, sheetlet spans and kerosene cooking.
Caroline:
Caroline was the first full sister of Drummer’s I had ever met. A steel doxy 38′ built in ’75, with everything, right down to Travis’s oversides rub-rails.
